• SPEECH & DRAMA

 

At speech and drama sessions we cover poetry speaking and analysis, group drama and skits, prose reading, prose speaking, acting of a poem, pronunciation practice according to the British RP accent, miming, drama games, choral speaking, prepared story telling, inventive story telling, physical and mental relaxing activities, tongue twisters, speech theory, improvisation activities, television and radio news reading, sight reading, solo and group acting. students are given the opportunity to participate in external competitions and exams, including the Sri Lanka Festival of Music, Dance & Speech, which are adjudicated by British examiners.

 

• WRITTEN ENGLISH 

 

Now let’s take a look at the written English content we teach. Our written English classes are focused on building the fundamental skills necessary for academic success. Students learn grammar, spelling, reading & comprehension, fiction skills, non-fiction skills, vocabulary and handwriting. these lessons help students in scoring high marks at their English term tests, O-level and A-Level examinations.

 

• SPOKEN ENGLISH + PRESENTATION

 

Another area we focus on improving is English speaking skills. To achieve that we provide public speaking training, group conversations, grammar and vocabulary support, phrasal verbs and idioms, picture description, pronunciation practice, dialogues in hypothetical situations, interviews, and student presentations.

 

Children are given the opportunity to present an item in front of their friends. This opportunity enhances the confidence in them to fight stage fright.

 

Our kids are given different assignments to perform monthly as a solo presentation or a group presentation.
